“Open Reporting can significantly enhance safety within the Air Traffic environment” notes VTO President Stephen Hall. “However, there are a number of practical implementation and cultural issues that need to be addressed before these enhanced safety benefits can be realized. Failure to fully appreciate and address these issues often leads to the avoidance of and/or half-hearted implementation of Open Reporting Programs, even though many government regulators and service providers around the world are legislatively obligated to put them in place” states Hall.

“VTO has credible, experienced personnel who understand the Air Traffic environment and can assist organizations to develop and implement an effective Open Reporting Program. As this type of knowledge is to the benefit of the Air Traffic Community as a whole, we thought we would put together a complimentary Webinar that provides an overview of how to go about successfully implementing an effective Open Reporting Program” notes Hall. “I hope the Webinar contributes to assisting many more organizations reap the full benefits of an effective Open Reporting capability. After all, it is in all our best interest to contribute to improving safety whenever an opportunity presents itself “.

The Virtual Technical Office (VTO - http://www.virtualtechnicaloffice.com) is pleased to announce to formation of the Air Traffic Services Group to further enhance the services it is able to provide its clients. The group is comprised of a number of experienced Air Traffic Controllers and Air Traffic Control Engineers/Technical Personnel the majority of whom have in excess of 30 years experience in implementing solutions in Europe, North America and a number of countries worldwide. The group has a depth of experience that is very impressive notes VTO President Stephen Hall. They have all worked on, or are working on cutting-edge initiatives that will radically change the way Air Traffic Services are delivered such as SESAR (Europe) and NextGen (USA). At the same time they also provide a wealth of practical experience that can be used to assist developing nations organize and restructure their air traffic services. The Air Traffic Services Group has an incredible synergy with the work VTO has pursued in the past related to aircraft accident investigation and aviation liability/insurance. In addition, we also anticipate they will provide an added dimension to our capability to offer cost-effective technical solutions and expertise to address the many challenges faced by existing and potential clients world-wide.
